Each state is allowed three active directory accounts. Those accounts are assigned to the following individuals: EMS State Data Manager, State EMS Medical Director, State EMS Director. In some circumstances, with the written permission of the State EMS Director, a fourth account may be created for a State EMSC Data Manager.
If you are not a state level EMS Official, please consider the following options for obtaining state level data:
1. Visit the Emergency Medical Services website for the state of interest and review the procedures for acquiring access to state level data.
2. Contact the state EMS office, explain the purpose for needing the data and make your request directly to the State EMS Manager. Contact information for State EMS Data Managers can be found on the NEMSIS website (www.nemsis.org). Just click on the State of interest on the National Map.
Some states may offer historical data from years 2004-2016 using the NEMSIS version 2 standard which is helpful for certain research purposes.
The current NEMSIS data standard is version 3 and state level data may be available for years 2017 – to the present.
