The goal of NEMSIS is to improve understanding of, confidence in and support for EMS data collection and analysis across all target audiences within the EMS community. This understanding will lead to EMS data being utilized more effectively to improve patient care.

Data collection in EMS is a perplexing process that includes many players, overlapping roles, infrastructure and funding challenges. The NEMSIS TAC has a unique role to play in clarifying and advocating for the value of evidence-based system improvements that are made possible only through the collection and analysis of clinical and operational EMS data.
