UPDATE 8/7/2024 – The HHS Office of Climate Change and Health Equity (OCCHE) Heat-Related EMS Activation Surveillance Dashboard tracks EMS responses to people experiencing heat-related emergencies in the pre-hospital setting. In recent months, some states have experienced longer than usual delays in submitting electronic patient care records due to scheduled software updates. As backlogged records are submitted and short-term pauses in submissions are resolved, recent counts and rates of heat-related measures may be temporarily affected by greater incompleteness and percent changes may be overstated.
