The 2018 NEMSIS Public-Release Research Dataset includes 22,532,890 EMS activations submitted by 9,599 EMS agencies serving 43 states and territories during the 2018 calendar year. The dataset does not contain information that identifies patients, EMS agencies, receiving hospitals, or reporting states. Click for more information on how to access the dataset.

Careful consideration of posted requests for revisions to the NEMSIS 3.4.0 standard began in early October, during the NEMSIS V3 Implementation meeting, and continue through bimonthly V3 Implementation webinars and NASEMSO Data Managers Committee calls.
“The NHTSA Office of EMS has created an engaging two-minute animated video that follows EMS data from the moment they are collected at the scene to when they are analyzed and used to improve care from the local to the national level.
